Nationwide Protests Erupt Against Pahalgam Terror Attack; BJP Yuva Morcha Demonstrates in Bhubaneswar

The BJP Yuva Morcha organized a protest in Bhubaneswar on Thursday evening to condemn the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives. Odisha BJP President Manmohan Samal also joined the protest, strongly denouncing the incident and reaffirming the government’s commitment to eliminating terrorism in all its forms.

Speaking to ANI, Samal said, “It was a tragic incident. What our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, expressed is the collective voice of 140 crore Indians. This cowardly act aimed at halting our nation’s progress will not succeed. We condemn this attack, and our government remains determined to wipe out terrorism in every form.”

Protests and solidarity marches have taken place across the country, as citizens, students, and political groups united in outrage over the attack.

In Anantnag, students from the Government Degree College for Women marched through town, raising their voices against terrorism. One student remarked, “We strongly condemn this heinous act. Terrorism has no religion. As Kashmiris, we stand for peace and always will. This attack does not represent us or our homeland.”

Similar protests were reported in Chandigarh, where demonstrators gathered with placards demanding justice for the victims.

In Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, a candlelight march was organized to honor those killed in the attack, while in Delhi, members of the Khan Market Trade Association held a peaceful vigil, lighting candles in memory of the deceased.

In Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, BJP leaders and party workers also staged a candlelight march. BJP MP and state party president VD Sharma addressed participants, declaring, “Today, the entire country is standing against terrorism. Not a single terrorist will be spared. We have resolved to uproot such acts of terror from our nation.”

The attack, which occurred in the Baisaran meadow area of Pahalgam, left 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen dead, with several others injured. It stands as one of the deadliest attacks in the region since the 2019 Pulwama bombing, where 40 CRPF personnel lost their lives, and one of the most serious incidents following the abrogation of Article 370.
