Four Arrested in Solapur in Ambegaon Murder Case Linked to Land Dispute
Ambegaon police on Sunday arrested four individuals in connection with the murder of 26-year-old Shubham Subhash Chavan, who was killed in Katraj on April 20, reportedly over a land dispute.
The accused have been identified as Amar Sakore (40), Mandar Maruti Kiwale (35), Girish Subhash Babare, and Yogesh Babaurao Dore (35). Preliminary investigation pointed to Sakore and his associates as the main culprits in the brutal killing.
Senior police inspector Sharad Zine of the Ambegaon police station stated, “Technical surveillance revealed the suspects were heading toward Mohol in Solapur district to evade arrest. Our teams moved swiftly to Kamati in Mohol and apprehended them.”
A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita — 103, 3(5), 115(2), 351(2), and 352. The accused were produced in court on Monday and have been remanded to police custody until April 24.
