Bomb Threats Trigger Evacuations at St. Stephen’s College & Noida Schools

On Friday, St. Stephen’s College in Delhi and two schools—Ahlcon International School in Mayur Vihar Phase 1 and Shiv Nadar School in Noida—received bomb threats via email, prompting immediate security measures. Bomb and dog squads were deployed, and the campuses were evacuated and shut down as a precautionary measure.

Parents were swiftly informed of the threat, with schools advising them to keep their children at home. Students who had already boarded buses were sent back. “We are closing the campus for the day to complete a thorough sweep and ensure everyone’s safety,” read a message from one of the schools.

Delhi Police confirmed that St. Stephen’s College received a bomb threat email at 7:42 AM, and bomb disposal teams were dispatched to the site.

Threats Follow Hoax Bomb Case Arrest

The bomb threats come just a day after the arrest of a 15-year-old Class 9 student accused of sending fake bomb threat emails to four Noida schools.

Authorities revealed that the student used a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to mask his location and IP address, allegedly to avoid attending school. He was taken into custody and presented before the Juvenile Court.

Earlier, on Wednesday, four Noida schools—Step By Step, The Heritage School, Gyanshree, and Mayoor School—received similar bomb threats around midnight, prompting police intervention. Noida DCP Ram Badan Singh stated that the school administration immediately alerted authorities, ensuring the safety of students and staff.

Investigations are ongoing to determine whether the latest threats are linked to the recent hoax case.
