However, authorities have yet to confirm whether the detained individual is the intruder who stabbed Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan in his Bandra apartment.

The intruder attacked Khan at least six times when the actor confronted him to protect his family and staff. Khan suffered multiple injuries, including a critical wound near his spine.

He was rushed to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital, where doctors performed an extensive surgery. They later assured that he is expected to make a full recovery. One of the attending doctors noted that Khan narrowly avoided a severe spinal injury, as the knife was just 2 mm away from causing significant damage.

The police believe the primary motive behind the intrusion was burglary. Saif Ali Khan’s son Jeh’s nanny informed the authorities that the intruder had demanded ₹1 crore.

The suspect had reportedly visited the shop named “Iqra.”

“He (the suspect) came to my shop and bought an earphone for ₹50. He handed me ₹100, I returned ₹50, and he left. Some police officials came to the shop yesterday (Friday) and took the CCTV footage. They asked about the person (suspect), but I had no idea what he had done,” Hasan, a shop employee, told PTI Videos.

Shakir, the shop owner, added, “My staff mentioned that he (the suspect) bought earphones. Later, some police officials visited and took the CCTV footage yesterday.”
