The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced a new initiative to sell tickets for the Surajkund International Crafts Mela via its official app and website. This marks the first time the DMRC will facilitate ticket sales for the event. The Mela, set to take place in Faridabad, Haryana, from February 7 to 23, 2025, will also see tickets sold at physical counters at metro stations and the venue itself.
This initiative follows a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between DMRC and the Haryana Tourism Corporation. As part of the agreement, tickets will be available on the DMRC Momentum 2.0 app, and physical counters will be set up at selected metro stations and the event site. Additionally, DMRC will promote the Mela by displaying announcements and scrolling messages at key metro stations. The DMRC will also manage 10 parking lots for visitors at the event.
The MoU is valid for three years and could be extended by mutual agreement. The DMRC has previously sold tickets for events like the India International Trade Fair through the same Momentum app.
