The Thai Embassy in New Delhi has announced that starting January 1, 2025, Indian travelers will be able to apply for visas through Thailand’s new Electronic Visa (e-Visa) system.
According to the announcement, all visa applications must be submitted via the official website, thaievisa.go.th. The system will include an offline payment option for convenience.
Visa applications will be processed within approximately 14 working days, following the receipt of the visa fee.
For those applying with ordinary passports through authorized visa processing agencies, the deadline for submission is December 16, 2024. Diplomatic and official passport holders can submit their applications at the Embassy or Consulate-General until December 24, 2024.
Additionally, the Thai Embassy confirmed that the existing 60-day visa exemption for tourism and short business visits for Indian ordinary passport holders will continue to be effective until further notice.
