During a high-energy rally in Dhanbad, Union Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah warned the JMM-Congress alliance ahead of the upcoming Jharkhand assembly elections. Shah accused the alliance of large-scale corruption, claiming that funds seized from their leaders represented wealth looted from Jharkhand’s youth, women, and disadvantaged communities. “If the BJP forms the government, we will deal with these looters. Every rupee stolen from the people of Jharkhand will be recovered and returned to the state’s treasury,” he declared, vowing strict accountability.

Amit Shah also criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for failing to deliver on his election promises. “Rahul Baba makes many announcements, but none of them are fulfilled. His party leaders acknowledge this. However, when Modi makes a promise, it’s as good as written in stone. We deliver on our guarantees,” Shah stated. Urging the people of Jharkhand to vote decisively on November 20, he said, “Your vote is a choice between JMM, which enriches itself, and Narendra Modi’s government, which uplifts ordinary citizens.”

Shah promised that a BJP-led government in Jharkhand would prioritize security and stability, including establishing a committee to identify and drive out “infiltrators” from the state. He stressed that foreign infiltrators would not be allowed to take tribal land through fraudulent marriages.

In response, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh dismissed Shah’s statements, claiming they were attempts to intimidate voters. “The public is with us,” Ramesh said, encouraging supporters to remain vigilant until the last vote is counted. He expressed confidence that the people of Jharkhand would support the Congress-JMM alliance, stating, “Voters will recognize the issues raised by Congress and our allies, giving a clear mandate to the Congress-JMM alliance in Jharkhand and MVA in Maharashtra.”

The Jharkhand assembly elections are scheduled for November 13 and 20, with results to be announced on November 23, setting the stage for a closely watched political contest.
