Gandhi plans to address a public meeting in Nuh to support party candidate and incumbent MLA Aftab Ahmed, who is competing against Tahir Hussain of the INLD, Rabia Kidwai of the AAP, and Sanjay Singh of the BJP. He will then head to Bhawaria in Mahendragarh for a joint public meeting supporting Congress candidates from the Mahendragarh, Ateli, and Narnaul constituencies, including Rao Dhan Singh, Anita Yadav, and Rao Narender Singh.

Polling for all 90 Assembly seats will occur in a single phase on October 5, with results expected to be announced on October 8.

Internship Portal Launch: The government, in collaboration with India Inc, will launch its internship portal on Thursday as part of the Budget announcement for a one-year internship scheme aimed at youth aged 21-24.

Initially, the portal will allow the top 500 companies in India to post available internship positions, followed by an opportunity for candidates to apply. Candidates must be between 21 and 24 years old and not currently employed full-time. Individuals from families with government jobs will be excluded, and those with qualifications from IIT, IIM, or IISER, or professional credentials such as CA or CMA will also be ineligible. However, youth from ITI and Kaushal Kendra will be allowed to apply.

Trial of Jagdish Tytler: Congress leader Jagdish Tytler will go on trial starting Thursday for the alleged murder of three individuals during the 1984 anti-Sikh riots in Delhi.

On August 30, Judge Rakesh Syal of the Rouse Avenue court ordered charges against Tytler under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including murder (302), abetment (109), rioting (147), promoting enmity between groups (153A), and unlawful assembly (143). The CBI had initially filed a closure report giving Tytler a clean chit but was later directed to reopen the investigation in 2007 due to a protest petition.

Supreme Court Verdict on Caste Discrimination in Prisons: The Supreme Court is expected to deliver a verdict on Thursday regarding allegations that prison manuals in some states promote caste-based discrimination.

The court had previously sought responses from the Centre and 11 states, including Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal, regarding the petition that claimed discrimination in work allocation within prisons based on inmates’ caste.

BJP Manifesto Release in Jharkhand: The BJP will begin releasing key points of its manifesto for the upcoming Assembly elections in Jharkhand on Thursday, as announced by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Elections for the 81-member Jharkhand Assembly are scheduled for later this year, with dates yet to be announced.
