Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu met with several Union ministers on Thursday to outline his state’s priorities and expectations from the Central government. He emphasized the need for a BPCL refinery announcement in the upcoming Union Budget and proposed the establishment of a coordination mechanism to ensure timely intervention on state issues.

During his discussion with Home Minister Amit Shah, Naidu sought assistance in resolving pending matters related to the division of assets under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014, bifurcation of institutions, and financial issues between the power distribution companies of the two states. He also highlighted the pending review of the Andhra cadre of the Indian Police Service (IPS) since 2015, aiming to increase the strength from 79 to 117, and requested funds for establishing Greyhounds Training Centres.

In a separate meeting with Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, Naidu appealed for support for projects including the Outer Ring Road in Amaravati, widening of the Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway, and other road connectivity initiatives in the state.

To Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, Naidu sought financial grants for developing essential external infrastructure such as industrial water, power, railway, and road connectivity for identified industrial nodes in the Chennai-Bengaluru Industrial Corridor within Andhra Pradesh.

With Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Naidu requested sanctioning of an integrated aqua park for Andhra, a policy for increased subsidy to horticulture farmers, and release of the balance central share for schemes like Per Drop More Crop, Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture, and National Mission on Oilseeds and Oil Palm.

Lastly, Naidu approached Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar to seek central assistance in promoting Vizag-Kakinada as a hub for Green Hydrogen manufacturing.
