Pahalgam Attack Mastermind Saifullah Kasuri Spotted at Anti-India Rally in Lahore: Report
Saifullah Kasuri, a senior Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander and the alleged mastermind behind the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, was recently seen participating in an anti-India rally in Lahore, Pakistan.
The rally was organized by the Pakistan Markazi Muslim League (PMML), and video footage allegedly shows Kasuri chanting anti-India and jihadist slogans. Also present at the event was Talha Saeed, son of LeT founder and UN-designated global terrorist Hafiz Saeed, the report claimed.
Kasuri—also known by the alias Khalid—is believed to have coordinated the Pahalgam attack in Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed 26 lives, including that of a Nepali national. Indian authorities have attributed the attack to The Resistance Front (TRF), considered a proxy group of the LeT.
In one of the circulated videos, Kasuri reportedly refers to the terrorists killed during India’s retaliatory Operation Sindoor as “martyrs” and declares: “I was blamed as the mastermind of the Pahalgam terror attack—now my name is famous across the world.”
Who is Saifullah Kasuri?
Kasuri serves as the deputy chief of the Pakistan-based LeT, a designated terrorist organization. He is widely seen as a key operative with close ties to the Pakistani military establishment. Known for delivering incendiary speeches, Kasuri has built a reputation as a prominent jihadist figure within extremist circles in Pakistan.
