Rajnath Singh Hails IAF’s Swift Strike at Bhuj, Warns Against IMF Aid to Pakistan
In a spirited address at the Bhuj Air Force Station on Friday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh commended the Indian Air Force (IAF) for its remarkable precision and speed during Operation Sindoor. He declared that the operation not only showcased India’s military prowess to the world but also dismantled terror networks operating across the border in record time.
“Jitni der mein nashta paani hota hai, utni der mein aapne dushmano ko nipta diya (In the time it takes to have breakfast, you neutralised the enemies),” Singh remarked, drawing resounding applause from the air warriors present.
Lauding the IAF for completing their mission in just 23 minutes, Singh said, “What you achieved during Operation Sindoor has filled every Indian — whether at home or abroad — with pride. In merely 23 minutes, the Indian Air Force dismantled terror infrastructure fostered in Pakistan.”
He further noted the global attention the operation had attracted. “The entire world is in awe of what our Air Warriors accomplished. You didn’t just strike terror camps; you sent a strong message — India will not tolerate terrorism and will retaliate with precision and strength,” the Defence Minister affirmed.
The Bhuj Air Force Station in Gujarat was among the installations targeted by Pakistan’s military last week.
Singh’s visit to Bhuj followed his trip to Jammu and Kashmir, where he reviewed the security situation along the Line of Control and International Border. Sharing a message ahead of his Bhuj visit, Singh wrote on social media: “Leaving New Delhi for Bhuj (Gujarat). Looking forward to interacting with our courageous Air Warriors at Bhuj Air Force Station.”
During his address, the Defence Minister also voiced strong opposition to any financial assistance being extended to Pakistan by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), cautioning that such aid risks funding terrorist groups operating from Pakistani soil.
“The IMF must reconsider any financial support to Pakistan, as these funds could be misused to fuel terrorism. Pakistan should not receive a single rupee of aid if it continues to harbour terrorist organisations,” Singh asserted.
In his earlier remarks at an airbase in Srinagar, Singh accused Pakistan of repeatedly deceiving India and sheltering anti-India terror outfits. He urged Islamabad to cease allowing its territory to be used for anti-India activities.
He further contrasted the economic positions of the two nations, pointing out that while Pakistan now seeks IMF loans, India is among the countries contributing to the IMF to assist poorer nations in need.
