Leaders Across Political Spectrum Applaud Operation Sindoor, Hailing Armed Forces’ Precision Strikes
Cutting across party lines, political leaders from various corners of the country have lauded the Indian Armed Forces for executing strikes at nine terror-linked sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), targeting camps associated with groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
Union ministers and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders were quick to voice their support for Operation Sindoor, the codename for the military action, with opposition leaders following suit.
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar wrote on X, “The world must show zero tolerance for terrorism.”
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh shared a brief but powerful message: “Bharat Mata ki Jai.”
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Bihar deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav also expressed solidarity. “India, Indians and the Indian Army have never and will never tolerate terrorism or separatism. We believe in peace, but if anyone threatens our unity, we respond decisively. In this fight against terror, 140 crore Indians stand with our armed forces and the government,” he posted.
Biju Janata Dal (BJD) MP Sasmit Patra described Operation Sindoor as “the resolute voice of a united nation against terror.” He added, “Our brave forces have dealt a precise and powerful blow to terror infrastructure in Pakistan and PoK. This is a firm response to the barbaric Pahalgam attack that claimed 26 innocent lives. Today, we honour our promise to hold the perpetrators accountable.”
Even All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi welcomed the strikes, stating, “The Pakistani deep state must be taught a tough lesson so another Pahalgam never happens. Pakistan’s terror infrastructure must be dismantled. Jai Hind!”
