Haryana Murder Mystery: Two Arrested for Abduction, Brutal Killing of Man in Rohtak – Victim Burned Alive and Buried in Pit

Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the shocking abduction and gruesome murder of a man in Rohtak, Haryana. The victim, Jagdeep, was allegedly burned alive and buried in a bottomless pit by his landlord, Hardeep, after it was revealed that Jagdeep was having an affair with Hardeep’s wife, police stated.

Jagdeep, a yoga instructor at Baba Mastnath University in Rohtak, had been residing in a section of Hardeep’s house. His disappearance led to a missing person report filed at the Shivaji Colony police station, triggering an intensive two-month investigation. The probe culminated in the recovery of Jagdeep’s body on Monday.

“The investigation revealed that after his abduction, Jagdeep’s body was held in Dadri. Following the arrest of Hardeep and Dharampal, we were able to recover the body. The investigation continues, and the postmortem examination will be conducted today,” Kuldeep Singh, head of the Crime Investigation Agency, confirmed.

Singh also stated that additional suspects were involved in the crime, and efforts were underway to apprehend them. “The arrested individuals have been presented before the court and are currently in remand,” he added.

Details of the murder paint a chilling picture: Hardeep had instructed workers to dig a 7-foot-deep pit in Pantavas village, Charkhi Dadri, under the pretense of needing it for a borewell. He bided his time until the moment was right for revenge. On December 24, Hardeep and his accomplices kidnapped Jagdeep while he was returning home from work. After brutally beating him, they took him to Chakri Dadri, where they executed the murderer and buried his body.

Police cracked the case after analyzing Jagdeep’s phone records, which provided key evidence leading to the arrests of Hardeep and his co-conspirators. Following their detention, the Rohtak police shared photos of the accused on the social media platform X. The case has shocked the community, as authorities continue to search for any additional individuals involved in the crime.
