Meerut Merchant Navy Officer Murder: Accused’s Parents Disown Daughter, Demand Death Penalty
The parents of Muskaan Rastogi, accused of murdering her merchant navy officer husband in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, have publicly condemned her actions and demanded the death penalty for her and her accomplice.
Muskaan and her partner, Sahil Shukla, allegedly killed her husband, dismembered his body, and sealed the remains in a drum filled with cement in Meerut’s Indiranagar area.
Her parents, Pramod and Kavita Rastogi have distanced themselves from their daughter, calling her “not fit for society” and demanding justice for their slain son-in-law.
Parents Call for Harshest Punishment
“My daughter killed her husband (Saurabh). She is a danger to society. No one should do what she did. She must be hanged to death, and if possible, it should be televised,” Muskaan’s father told ANI.
Muskaan’s mother also denounced her daughter’s actions, stating that Saurabh was a good man and deserved justice.
“Saurabh was a kind and honest person. We want justice, and Muskaan should be hanged,” she told ANI.
Police Investigation & Arrests
The police have arrested Muskaan Rastogi and Sahil Shukla in connection with the brutal murder. An FIR has been filed, and further investigations are ongoing.
Case Timeline & Police Confession
According to Meerut City SP Ayush Vikram Singh, the victim, Saurabh Shukla, had been working in London since 2023 and returned to Meerut on March 4. He was reported missing soon after.
Suspicious of foul play, the police questioned Muskaan and Sahil, during which Sahil confessed to the crime.
“On March 4, Sahil and Muskaan stabbed Saurabh to death. They then dismembered his body, placed the remains in a drum, and sealed it with cement,” SP Singh revealed.
The body was recovered and sent for post-mortem. The accused are now in police custody, and further investigations are underway.
Additional Revelations: Drug Influence & Court Attack
Authorities have claimed that Muskaan’s lover, Sahil, had introduced her to ganja (marijuana) and possibly influenced her actions.
During his court appearance in Meerut, Sahil was attacked by lawyers, demanding strict punishment for the gruesome crime.
