Hyderabad Family Tragedy: Couple Dies by Suicide After Allegedly Killing Two Children Due to Financial, and Health Issues

In a tragic incident in Hyderabad’s Habsiguda area, a 44-year-old man and his 35-year-old wife died by suicide after allegedly killing their two minor children on Monday night. Police suspect financial distress and health issues drove them to take this extreme step.

Authorities discovered the couple’s bodies in separate rooms, while their children were found lifeless on the bed. The incident occurred around 9:30 PM at their home in Ravindranagar Colony. Neighbors alerted the police, who rushed to the scene and began investigating.

“Preliminary findings suggest that the couple first strangled their children before taking their own lives by hanging,” said Osmania University police station inspector N Rajender.

A suicide note, reportedly written by the man in Telugu, revealed his deep distress over financial struggles and worsening health conditions. “No one is responsible for my death. I had no other option but to end my life. Please forgive me. I have been struggling in my career and suffering physically and mentally. I have been battling diabetes, nerve-related issues, and kidney diseases,” the note stated.

The family, originally from Mukuralla village in Mahabubnagar district, had moved to Habsiguda a year ago. The man, a former lecturer at a private college, had been unemployed for the past six months, which worsened their financial crisis.

“The prolonged joblessness and financial burden may have led to this heartbreaking decision,” Rajender added.

The police have sent the bodies for post-mortem at Gandhi Hospital and registered a case of suspicious deaths.
