Mehsana (Gujarat) [India], January 16 (ANI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the Vadnagar Archaeological Museum, Prerna Sankul, and the Vadnagar Sports Complex in Mehsana district on Thursday. Vadnagar is the birthplace of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Amit Shah remarked, “Vadnagar is the birthplace of PM Modi. It is one of the oldest cities in India, and its preservation and vitality have influenced the culture of the country across generations. For thousands of years, the journey of Vadnagar has continued, and we have evidence of its rich history spanning 2,500 years. There is no other museum in the world that showcases both history and excavations in this manner.”
He also mentioned that the museum was built with an investment of ₹300 crores. “I congratulate PM Modi for this vision. He has worked to ensure that the culture of Vadnagar, Gujarat, and India is showcased on the global stage. The museum and excavation site bring to life the 2,500-year history of Vadnagar. It not only reflects the ancient civilization of the region but also sheds light on its culture, commerce, city planning, education, and governance,” he said.
Shah added, “I also inaugurated the Prerna Sankul complex, the school where PM Modi completed his primary education. Children from all over the country come here to pursue education and follow his example. This complex will nurture future leaders. Additionally, a sports complex has been inaugurated, with PM Modi setting the goal of hosting the 2036 Olympics in Ahmedabad. Athletes from Vadnagar will be trained and sent to the event.”
