Mahindra has unveiled the prices for its new electric SUVs, the BE 6 and XEV 9e, at the Unlimited India Tech Day event in Pune on Tuesday. This announcement follows the initial reveal of both models at the Unlimit India event on November 26, 2024.

“The response to our Electric Origin SUVs has been overwhelming, with customers showing a keen interest in high-end technology and premium features,” said Veejay Nakra, President of Mahindra’s Automotive Sector and Joint Managing Director of Mahindra Electric Automobile Limited.

Bookings for the feature-rich Pack Three version, with a 79 kWh battery, will open on February 14, 2025, coinciding with Valentine’s Day. Prices for the BE 6 and XEV 9e are as follows:

Mahindra also announced that customers can add their preferences starting in January, with phased test drives beginning on January 14, and deliveries expected to begin in early March 2025. Mahindra Finance is offering its “Three for Me” vehicle finance program, with affordable EMI options for both models, but a balloon payment will be due at the end of six years.

The BE 6 comes with a down payment of up to 15.5% and a balloon payment of ₹4.65 Lakh after 6 years, while the XEV 9e requires a similar down payment, with a balloon payment of ₹4.35 Lakh at the end of the term. The price excludes charger and installation costs, with billing for chargers available in either 7.3 kW or 11.2 kW options.

The lifetime battery warranty is valid only for the first registered owner and private registration; if the ownership changes, the warranty is limited to 10 years or 2,00,000 km, whichever comes first.

Pack Three Features Pack Three includes advanced features like multiple drive modes, ADAS Level 2+ with radar and vision systems for animal and pedestrian detection, a Driver and Occupant Monitoring System (DOMS) to track fatigue, a 360-degree camera for secure surroundings, and an augmented-reality Heads Up Display (AR-HUD). It also offers a Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos and a custom-designed interior with mood lighting and climate control adjustments.

Vehicle Performance Both the BE 6 and XEV 9e are powered by a 210 kW motor, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds for the BE 6 and 6.8 seconds for the XEV 9e. They come with a 79 kWh battery, offering ranges of 683 km for the BE 6 and 656 km for the XEV 9e. Both models support fast charging, allowing the battery to go from 20% to 80% in under 20 minutes with a 175 kW DC charger.

Advanced Connectivity The vehicles feature Mahindra’s Artificial Intelligence Architecture (MAIA), capable of performing 50 trillion operations per second, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295. They also support WiFi 6.0, Bluetooth 5.2, and 5G connectivity, providing seamless updates via over-the-air technology.
